Reviving Coat Hanger Bases
We have a couple of coat hangers with hangers at home, where clothes are conveniently placed for quick access. Well, or when you're too lazy to neatly fold everything in the closet - it's still better than dumping it on a chair:

At the base, they have a concrete washer poured into plastic. The problem is that this plastic, either from time or from load, started to break and crumble. It would be fine if this only led to debris on the floor, but the hanger isn't completely stationary and when moved, it scratches the coating. For a while, we got by with crutches in the form of taping the sole with tape - but that didn't last long.

So, the plan is to fix all this. It wasn't possible to implement this neatly from metal, so we'll also pour concrete. For this purpose, I even found white cement (though who sees it there).
In the end, the process went according to the following scheme:
1 - Prepare the mold for pouring - place something inside where the planned holes will be (in my case, these are recesses for the legs and holes for bolts). I made them from scraps of polypropylene pipe and aluminum tubing, screwed to the substrate with screws.

2 - Mix cement with water, I also added fiberglass (specially sold in packets for adding to mortar) - to somehow reinforce the base and avoid cracking in the future.

3 - Pour, wait, pull out all unnecessary parts from the recesses and holes

4 - Well, and then everything else - wash the front side, insert the legs (I printed plastic ones on the printer, TPU wasn't working for me yet), I also poured the sole with transparent rubber paint to definitely avoid problems with cracking and dust. And finally, I also painted the front part with black glossy paint.
As a result, we have this:

Sorry for the photo quality, it was a long time ago, since then everything has been serving without complaints for 3 years already.
